(BPT) – Casey’s, the third-largest U.S. convenience store retailer and fifth-largest pizza chain, is sharing new survey data that pizza is a popular choice for breakfast among U.S. adults. According to a new survey, more than half of adults (52%) wish that pizza was considered a more traditional breakfast food. The survey also found that 44% of people would be inclined to eat breakfast more often if pizza was on the menu.
Breakfast might be the most important meal of the day, but with busy schedules, getting in a delicious meal to start the day can be challenging. More than three-quarters of parents of school-aged children feel guilty when they run out of time to prepare breakfast for their children. Additionally, 67% believe it’s worth paying for the convenience of purchasing breakfast in the morning, as opposed to saving money by making breakfast at home.
For more than 20 years, Casey’s has served its iconic, handmade breakfast pizza, creating a cult-following for this menu offering. Casey’s continues to provide a quick, convenient solution by offering a wide range of breakfast items, including its fan-favorite breakfast pizza by the whole pie or by the slice.
To highlight its beloved breakfast pizza, Casey’s is partnering with three college student athletes from across its 16-state footprint: Emeka Egbuka, wide receiver at The Ohio State University; Jacob Warren, tight end at the University of Tennessee; and Luke Lachey, tight end at the University of Iowa. Casey’s guests can score touchdown deals on their favorite menu items this fall. Now through Oct. 25, guests can get a $4 mega slice (including breakfast pizza) with a medium fountain beverage.
